About the Scholarship

Rhodes College awards full tuition on this rung of its merit ladder, with no separate application.

This is the top of the ladder and the only full-tuition award on it, which is what the college's quoted range for international students reaches up to.

Two things to weigh. The college is candid that its international admission process is need-aware and extremely competitive for students seeking significant aid. And only one general merit award is held at a time, so these do not combine with each other.

Tuition

Full tuition. Renewable for up to four years, with the college stating a student should have the same package for all four given satisfactory academic progress. Only one general merit award is held: these are not stackable with each other, and a student receives the highest they qualify for. International applicants must complete the college's non-citizen financial supplement and submit a bank statement; no CSS Profile is required. Total international cost for 2026 to 2027 is $77,856, and aid excludes transport, textbooks, visa fees and break housing. Outside awards can trigger a reduction if the combination exceeds direct costs.

Eligibility

Entry as a first-year student. The college publishes no threshold for these awards and states they need no separate application. Renewal runs up to four years on satisfactory academic progress.

The college states all applicants are automatically considered for general merit scholarships ranging from $20,000 a year to full tuition, on its financial aid page for international students, and that it meets demonstrated need for admitted international students on student visas.
