St. Lawrence University is a liberal arts college in Canton, in northern New York State, with more than 220 international students from 59 countries. Its merit awards for international applicants are called International Scholarships, and they range from $5,000 to full tuition.
That range is wide, so treat the top of it as genuinely competitive. The award is decided from your whole file: your courses and grades, recommendations, test scores if you send them, your activities, your essay and an interview where one happens.
Applying costs you two pieces of paperwork. Tick the financial aid box on the Common Application, and send the Certificate of Finance at the same time as everything else. The CSS Profile and ISFAA are not needed, and your first Certificate of Finance needs no bank signatures.
The deadline for processing a first-year Certificate of Finance is 1 February, and later applications are considered as funding allows. Note that St. Lawrence awards one merit or specialty scholarship per student, the highest in value, and gives no travel assistance.
