Global Wildcat Transfer Tuition Award

About the Scholarship

The University of Arizona pays international transfer students $2,500 to $10,000 a year, and adds a further $2,000 for Phi Theta Kappa members.

One eligibility rule catches people out: previous attendance at a four-year university disqualifies an applicant entirely, though dual enrolment during secondary school does not count against you.

Its first-year counterpart, the Global Wildcat First Year Tuition Award, is not listed in this directory. The university describes it clearly and states international student status as the eligibility, but its merit chart is no longer published anywhere reachable, so no amount can be verified.

What It Covers

  • Tuition

$2,500 to $10,000 a year toward tuition, held for two consecutive years or four semesters. Renewal after the first year needs a 3.00 cumulative grade average at the university and 30 cumulative units. Phi Theta Kappa members receive a further $2,000 added to it. The university notes the award is subject to the availability of funds. Figures are from its 2026 to 2027 terms; it has not yet published 2027 to 2028.

Eligibility

A cumulative college grade average of at least 3.00 with at least 12 transferable units at the time of the admission application, pursuing a first bachelor's degree. Previous attendance at a four-year university disqualifies an applicant, though dual enrolment during secondary school is allowed.

Eligible Countries

The university describes this as a highly competitive undergraduate tuition scholarship offered to international transfer students pursuing their first bachelor's degree.
