About the Scholarship

The University of Nebraska-Lincoln pays $10,000 a year toward tuition for international undergraduates on this band, up to $40,000 across four years.

The middle of Nebraska's Global awards. The university's own pages alternate between calling it the Global Ambassador Scholarship and the Global Ambassador Tuition Scholarship; they are the same award.

Watch the credit load. The award is prorated below 15 credits a semester and pays nothing at all below 12, so a light term costs the student money. Only one Global scholarship can be held at a time.

What It Covers

Tuition

$10,000 an academic year toward undergraduate tuition, $5,000 a semester, for up to four years excluding summers. It is prorated below 15 credits a semester and pays nothing below 12. Total value up to $40,000. A student may hold only one Global scholarship, and these do not stack with other campus-wide merit awards or tuition reciprocity.

Eligibility

Outstanding academic achievement and the English language requirement for unconditional admission. Renewable for three further years on a cumulative grade average of 3.000 measured at the end of each spring semester, 24 credits completed each academic year, full-time enrolment registered by the sixth day of classes, and continued non-resident status. No reapplication is needed.

The university states the award goes to international students who have demonstrated outstanding academic achievement and met the English language requirement for unconditional admission.
