About the Scholarship

The Presidential Scholar Award pays $4,000 a year at the University of Northern Iowa, $16,000 across four years, and carries a place in the university's Presidential Scholar Program.

Entry needs a grade average of 3.80 with an ACT score of 29 or an SAT score of 1340, or a 3.95 average for applicants admitted without test scores. Only secondary school leavers qualify.

The university dates this award twice. Its international page gives a priority deadline of 1 February and its domestic page gives 15 January. The international date is published here, and applying by the earlier of the two costs nothing.
