The University of St. Thomas awards music scholarships of $1,500 to $10,000 a year to students who audition and declare a music major. They renew for four years of study.
St. Thomas lists these among the additional scholarships available to international students, alongside its general merit awards of 10 to 70 percent off tuition, so an international applicant can hold both.
One submission does two jobs. Inside the admission portal you apply for the scholarship, and that same application admits you to the music major. It asks for a statement about your experience and goals, one recommendation, and a recorded audition of up to ten minutes covering at least two contrasting pieces, unedited. Everything is due 15 January 2027. Students who advance perform at the on-campus Scholarship Invitational on 27 February 2027.
The conditions are worth reading before you commit. You have to stay an active music major and hold a 3.0 cumulative GPA. Leaving the music programme ends the funding from that point, covering only the semesters you completed as a major.
