About the Scholarship

Whitworth University's transfer table reaches one tier further down than its first-year table, paying $2,000 a year at a grade average of 3.0 where the first-year scale stops at 3.3.

It handles messy transfer records sensibly: multiple institutions are combined into one cumulative average, and an applicant with less than a full term of college work is assessed on their secondary school record instead.

One caution. This page has not been rolled forward, still carrying a July 2026 deadline and an autumn 2026 enrolment condition, so confirm the current dates with the admissions office.

What It Covers

  • Tuition

Four tiers: $9,000 a year at 3.9 and above, $6,000 from 3.6, $3,000 from 3.3 and $2,000 from 3.0. Up to $36,000 across four years. The university states awards may only be applied to Whitworth tuition costs. Figures are the university's 2026 to 2027 amounts; it has not yet published 2027 to 2028. Note that Whitworth reset tuition from $54,000 to $26,900 for 2026 to 2027, so these amounts are smaller in absolute terms than they would have been against the old sticker price. Total cost of attendance living on campus is $50,162.

Eligibility

Full-time enrolment working toward a first bachelor's degree, having completed one or more terms at an accredited college or university. Where more than one university has been attended the college calculates a combined cumulative grade average, and where less than one full term of college work exists it uses the secondary school average. Renewable each year with full-time enrolment and satisfactory academic progress.

Eligible Countries

The award sits on the university's page for international transfer student scholarships. The sentence introducing it addresses transfer students without repeating the word international, so the eligibility evidence is the page rather than the sentence.
