What you'll do

Your role as a journalism intern

Main responsibilities

  • Identify and reach out to current students and alumni from international universities or extracurricular programs
  • Conduct interviews about their application process and study abroad experience
  • Transform these conversations into insightful and polished articles

Additional

  • Share and promote Borderless within your school, community, and online communities
  • Support the planning and execution of Borderless events and webinars
  • Test and provide thoughtful feedback on new Borderless tools — you'll be the first to know about them

Who we look for

Curious, driven students ready to grow as journalists

We're looking for students who are excited about education and eager to grow. Ideal candidates:

  • Are sophomores or juniors in high school (we are not accepting seniors applying to colleges — your time is best spent on applications and exams)
  • Have strong English communication skills: speaking, listening, and writing
  • Can dedicate at least 4 hours per week throughout the internship
  • Show a clear passion for international education, cultural exchange, and studying abroad

Application process

How to apply

    Apply online

    Complete the application form, which includes a few questions and a short assignment. The full process takes no more than one hour. Applications are due July 15.

  2. 2

    Interview with Veronica

    Selected applicants are invited to a virtual interview with our CEO, held between July 15 and August 1.

  3. 3

    Start the cohort

    The internship officially begins on August 1 and runs through January 1.
