Babson Summer Study

ClosedBusinessEntrepreneurshipSummer Program

About the Program

Babson Summer Study is a three-week pre-college program run by Babson College — the top-ranked college for entrepreneurship in the US — giving rising juniors and seniors a hands-on introduction to entrepreneurial thinking and business leadership. Students earn 4 Babson College academic credits upon completion.

The program is offered in two formats: fully online, and in-person, hosted at New England Innovation Academy (NEIA) in Marlborough, Massachusetts — not on Babson's own campus in Wellesley.

What students do:

  • Build entrepreneurial mindset and leadership skills through experiential learning
  • Work on real business challenges with a global cohort of peers
  • Receive instruction from Babson faculty
  • Develop a business concept or entrepreneurial project

Program highlights:

  • 4 college academic credits (transferable to some colleges)
  • Global cohort — international students welcome with online and residential tracks

Costs (~2026):

  • Babson tuition: ~$6,295 (covers the fully online format in full)
  • In-person students (at NEIA) pay additional NEIA fees on top of Babson tuition: ~$3,000 for day students or ~$6,700 for residential students, bringing their total to ~$9,295 or ~$12,995
  • Application fee: $95 (non-refundable; waived for financial aid applicants)

Financial aid:

  • Limited need-based full and partial tuition scholarships are available, but only to applicants in the fully online format — tuition scholarships are not available for the in-person format
  • Financial aid application deadline: ~February 13 (same as the early-bird/in-person deadline)
  • Aid awarded on a case-by-case basis; decisions sent along with admission decisions

Annual timeline: | Milestone | Approximate Date | |---|---| | Financial aid / in-person format / early-bird application deadline | February 13 | | Early-bird decisions announced | February 27 | | Standard application deadline (fully online format only) | March 13 | | Standard decisions announced | March 27 | | Full tuition due | May 25 | | Program (in-person & online) | ~July 8–28 |
