About the Program

Case Western Reserve University's Pre-College STEM Programs offer fully online, self-paced courses for high school students ages 13 and up. Students learn from CWRU instructors via video lessons, receive mentor support throughout, and complete a final project to earn a certificate of completion.

Course topics:

  • Neuroscience and Medicine
  • Engineering (2D to 3D Design)
  • Astrophysics and Evolutionary Biology
  • Biomedical Engineering

Program structure: Each course runs 2 or 4 weeks and involves 20-25 hours of instruction and activities. Multiple sessions are available throughout the year. Students engage with peers globally.

Cost: $1,595 per course. Need-based scholarships are available for students who demonstrate financial need and high potential; scholarship requests can be submitted during or after the application.

International students: Welcome from any country. Applications must be submitted in English.
