The Climate Science Olympiad is a global competition where participants solve real-world problems related to climate change. First launched in 2021, it has reached over 12,400 participants in more than 149 countries. The competition is free to enter and open to individuals or teams of two under 25 years old. Winners receive prize money (a $15,000 pool shared among the top 10 teams) and a sponsored trip to the annual UN Climate Summit (COP), where they present their solutions to governments and climate leaders. The competition aims to empower young people to address climate issues at the highest levels of international policy.
