GW Pre-College Summer Immersion is a two-week, full-day, non-credit program at The George Washington University in Washington, D.C., with residential and commuter options. Rising high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors take courses that combine lecture-based instruction with experiential and applied activities, exploring DC's unique academic, political, and cultural resources.
GWU runs three back-to-back sessions each summer, giving students flexibility on timing. The program cost includes all fees, supplies, room, and board (residential) or program fees and supplies (commuter).

What students do:
- Take immersive non-credit courses taught by GWU faculty and scholar-practitioners

- Live on campus with peers from around the world (residential option)
- Join recreational programming: Smithsonian tours, National Mall events, and more

Financial aid: GW's Summer Immersion pages do not list general need-based financial aid or scholarships; narrow, nationality-specific scholarships have been offered in some past years. Confirm current availability directly with GW's Pre-College office before applying.
Note: GWU's Cisneros Institute also offers Caminos al Futuro, a separate fully-funded 3-week residential program for Hispanic/Latino rising seniors at U.S. high schools. That program has its own application and timeline.
