Notre Dame Summer Scholars is a two-week residential pre-college program at the University of Notre Dame, offering rising juniors and seniors the opportunity to take college-level courses taught by Notre Dame faculty. Students live on campus, may earn one transferable college credit upon completing a program track, and experience Notre Dame academics and campus life.
Two sessions available:
- Session I: Early June (approx. June 6–20)
- Session II: Late June–July (approx. June 27–July 11)
29 courses spanning:
- STEM: cryptography, data visualization, engineering, neuroscience, climate change
- Humanities: philosophy, film production, journalism, art
- Social Sciences: international relations, psychology, law and justice
- Business: accounting, sports agency
- Service-oriented: poverty and justice
Cost breakdown:
- Application fee: $75 (non-refundable, paid separately at time of application)
- Enrollment fee: $300 (non-refundable)
- Tuition, room, board, activities: $4,900
- Program total (enrollment fee + tuition/room/board): $5,200
Financial aid: Limited need-based partial to full scholarships available. Named grants include the KPMG LLP Grant (accounting students), Philadelphia Grant (Philadelphia-area students), and Lilly Endowment Grant (Indiana residents). No merit-based aid. Financial aid is not available for the Sports Agency 101 course.
International students: Welcome; students from non-English-speaking schools must submit TOEFL, IELTS, DET, or PTE Academic scores.
