Stanford Summer Session's High School Program offers current high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors the chance to take Stanford courses as visiting students during the university's 8-week summer quarter. Students enroll in Stanford's regular undergraduate curriculum alongside college students from around the world, earning real Stanford credit and an official transcript upon completion.
The program covers 130+ courses across eight interest areas: natural sciences, creativity and design, innovation and entrepreneurship, math and data science, computer science and engineering, personal development, social sciences and humanities, and writing and public speaking.
Cost options:
- Commuter (minimum 5 units): from $8,226
- Residential, full-time with meal plan (minimum 8 units): from $18,771
International students are welcome; students from 60+ countries attend each summer. Non-native English speakers must provide proof of English proficiency. Students who commute or live on campus have access to Stanford's libraries, maker spaces, sports facilities, and research labs throughout the summer.
