The Squire Scholarship covers tuition for four years at Case Western Reserve University, funded by a gift from university trustee Andrew Squire and his wife Eleanor. One student wins it each year.
It is open to first-year applicants in the arts, humanities, management, accountancy, and the natural, social and behavioural sciences. Engineering and physical science applicants go for the A.W. Smith Innovation Scholarship instead.
International students can enter Case Western's scholarship competitions unless a particular competition says otherwise, and this one carries no such note, which makes a four-year tuition award unusually reachable from abroad.
The cost to you is a separate scholarship application with an essay, due 15 February, on top of a complete admission application. Winners hear by 1 April. Note that an award in the amount of tuition replaces any other Case Western scholarship or grant you were offered, so it does not stack.
