About the Scholarship

Case Western Reserve University awards Leadership Scholarships of between $2,000 and $5,000 to first-year applicants who show outstanding leadership across their academic and extracurricular lives.

These are the smallest of Case Western's competition awards, and they are also the least restricted. There is no required major, no nomination and no published grade threshold, just evidence that you have led something.

International students can participate in Case Western's scholarship competitions unless a competition notes otherwise, and this one carries no such note.

You submit a separate scholarship application with an essay by 15 February alongside a complete admission application, and winners hear by 1 April. At this size the award trims the bill rather than covering it, so treat it as one line in a larger plan.

What It Covers

  • Tuition

A scholarship of between $2,000 and $5,000 applied to your costs. Tuition in full, housing, meals, fees and books are not covered.

Eligibility

First-year applicants who display outstanding leadership in academic and extracurricular pursuits. No GPA or test threshold is published. Case Western states that international students can participate in its scholarship competitions unless a particular competition notes otherwise, and no such note applies here.
