About the Scholarship

Marist College's largest merit band pays $22,000 to $30,000 a year, awarded automatically on acceptance with no separate application.

The college publishes no thresholds, saying openly that no set of numbers guarantees a scholarship or an amount, and it recalculates grade averages from five core subjects.

Two things to hold on to. The college states plainly that it is unable to provide full scholarships, and no student receives more than one merit award. Its international page describes the merit category without naming this award, so the eligibility link is at category level.

What It Covers

  • Tuition

$22,000 to $30,000 a year. Renewable across four years on a cumulative grade average of at least 2.850, in autumn and spring terms only. No more than one merit scholarship is awarded to a student. The college states it is unable to provide full scholarships. Figures are effective from autumn 2026.

Eligibility

Entry as a first-year student on a grade average the college recalculates from English, mathematics, history and social studies, science and foreign language. The college states there is no set of numbers that guarantees a scholarship or an amount, and that financial need is not required.

Eligible Countries

The college's international student financial services page states academic merit scholarships are available to students who have demonstrated superior academic performance throughout secondary school. That sentence heads the section containing this award rather than naming it, so the link is at category level.
