Miami University gives two #YouAreWelcomeHere Scholarships a year, each covering at least half of tuition and renewable for the degree. It recognises international students who have put effort into intercultural understanding and exchange.
Eligibility is stated clearly: you hold citizenship outside the United States and hold neither US citizenship nor permanent residency. Beyond that, Miami wants evidence of initiative in intercultural work, so this is the award where activities outside the classroom carry weight.
It takes a second application. Apply for admission by 1 December, then file the scholarship form from your Applicant Status page by 1 January. Recipients hear in February and must deposit by 1 May. With two awards on offer each year, treat it as a long shot worth the extra hour.
