About the Scholarship

Michigan State pays $13,000 a year for eight semesters to international students invited into its Honors College.

There is no application for either the scholarship or the college: every applicant to the university is considered. The gate is the invitation, which is selective.

Note that the university's Honors College Distinction Scholarship, a sibling award, is closed to most international students, reaching only citizens of Canada and Mexico among non-Americans.

Eligibility

An invitation to the Honors College, which is itself selective and not guaranteed. Limited to eight consecutive semesters, needing at least 12 credit hours completed each semester, good academic standing and continued international residency for tuition purposes. No numeric grade threshold is published.
