Mississippi State pays international transfer students $6,000 or $7,000 a semester by grade average, up to $35,000 across five semesters.

The student must be assessed non-resident tuition to receive it, and it cannot be combined with non-resident charge waivers or the university's National Merit and Presidential Endowed packages. International students with active agent contracts are ineligible. The university notes the amounts may combine institutional and private awards.
A minimum overall transferable grade average of 3.25, pursuing a first bachelor's degree. Renewable for up to five semesters on a 3.0 college grade average and continuous full-time enrolment.
The university states it automatically awards academic scholarships to eligible international students, and publishes these non-resident awards on its international scholarships page. It has no international-exclusive awards; international students receive the non-resident awards.
Automatically awarded on admission. The priority date for incoming transfers is 1 March.
