About the Scholarship

This is Oklahoma State's transfer award for students whose parent or grandparent graduated from the university, paying $7,000 a year for two years and $5,000 for a third where one is needed.

The university's own table populates its two rows inconsistently, listing the legacy condition on one without the credit-hour or grade requirement. The reliable route is the row for students transferring 24 or more credit hours with a 3.25 average.

Only one tuition waiver can be held a semester, so this replaces rather than supplements the standard transfer award.

What It Covers

  • Tuition

For students transferring 24 or more credit hours with a 3.25 grade average, $7,000 a year for the first two years and $5,000 if a third is needed. A further row pays $5,000 a year across three years, $15,000 in total. The award waives tuition only, not fees, in autumn and spring, and cannot be used in summer. On an out-of-state award the university waives out-of-state tuition up to half the award each semester, leaving in-state tuition, any remaining out-of-state tuition and all fees payable. A student may hold only one tuition waiver a semester.

Eligibility

Having a parent or grandparent who graduated from the university, with a grade average of 3.25 and at least 24 transferable credit hours on the higher row. Renewal needs full-time enrolment each autumn and spring and an overall grade average of 2.00, with no probationary period.

Eligible Countries

The university states it offers scholarships to qualified international undergraduates, that awards vary from $5,000 to $15,000 an academic year, and that international students are considered automatically on submitting a completed admission application.
