About the Scholarship

PLU adds $1,000 a year for transfer students who belong to Phi Theta Kappa, the honour society for two-year colleges in the United States. You must be an active member when you apply.

The route that matters here runs through an American community college. An international student who starts at a community college, is inducted into Phi Theta Kappa and then transfers can claim this alongside PLU's International Merit Award for transfers.

Ticking the membership box on the PLU admission application is the whole process. PLU awards the money on academic merit.
