About the Scholarship

Pepperdine's Regents Scholarship starts at $20,000 a year for the top of its admitted first-year class and renews for up to four years.

One requirement decides whether you are even in the running. Pepperdine is test-optional for admission, but states that SAT, ACT or CLT scores are required to be considered for this award. An applicant who goes test-optional forfeits it.

Read the university's wider position too. It says it offers no financial aid for international students and that students should be able to fund their whole education, which refers to need-based aid; merit awards like this one are listed for international students separately. Against tuition of $71,860, a $20,000 floor leaves a lot to find.

What It Covers

  • Tuition

Starts at $20,000 a year and is renewable for up to four years or eight semesters. The university publishes a floor rather than a range, so the ceiling is unknown. Tuition is $71,860 and the full cost of attendance $101,450, so this is a modest share of the bill.

Eligibility

Selection from roughly the top 8 to 10 per cent of the admitted first-year class. Although the university is otherwise test-optional, SAT, ACT or CLT scores must be submitted to be considered. Renewal needs a cumulative 3.25 at the university, full-time status and no academic probation, with one appeal available.

Eligible Countries

The university's office for international students lists this among the scholarships it offers international students, on its own cost of attendance page for them.
