Guadalupe's Scholars is run by the Habiger Institute for Catholic Leadership at the University of St. Thomas in Minnesota. It pays $2,000 a year towards a four-year degree and carries a community expectation rather than only an academic one.
The fit is specific. You need to be admitted to St. Thomas, involved in parish and Latino community life, and planning to major or minor in Catholic Studies. A 3.0 GPA is the academic floor, and the programme weighs financial need alongside merit.
St. Thomas lists it among the additional scholarships available to international students, so a student on a study visa can apply. It also stacks with the merit scholarship in your admission offer, which for internationals runs from 10 to 70 percent of tuition.
Apply through the admissions portal once you have been admitted. The closing date sits later in the cycle than the full-tuition competitions, usually in early March, so check the current date with the Habiger Institute before you plan around it.
