About the Scholarship

The King-Morgridge Scholars Program funds six international students a year through four years at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. It covers tuition and fees, room and board, health insurance, airfare, and a stipend for other costs.

The programme is built around returning home. Scholars come from specified countries in Africa, the Caribbean, Latin America, South Asia and Southeast Asia, demonstrate high financial need, and commit to going back to their home country after graduating to work on poverty alleviation.

Applying takes two steps. Submit the university application through Early Action by 1 November, then the separate scholarship application with its essay by 15 November.
