Winona State gives every new first-year international student starting in autumn 2027 a $1,500 International Presidential Honors Scholarship. It arrives with admission, so the only step is applying to the university.
The figure is modest against a public university bill, and it is best read alongside the Cross-Cultural Scholarship, which drops international students to the Minnesota resident tuition rate and is worth several times more.
Renewal follows the terms Winona State publishes for its Presidential Honor Scholarships: 50 per cent of the original amount in the second, third and fourth years, with a university GPA of at least 3.75 and 15 or more credits a semester. The university states that criteria and amounts can change.
